More than 95% of the palm oil producers in Malaysia are MSPO-certified. This means they adhere to strict rules of compliance.

The MSPO certification scheme ensures responsible new plantation development, environmental responsibility, correct support and management of the local people & community, transparency for a sustainable future and continuous improvement.
Also, the oil palm growers are not permitted to clear natural forests or protected areas, which are perfect areas for wildlife and the conservation of biodiversity. Open burning to clear land for planting or replanting is also not permitted, helping stop the CO₂ emissions, emphasising the importance of Malaysian oil palm growers being certified for sustainability.
